Fuzeta: A Unique Fishing Village
The current thesis is about the urban and architectonical evolution of the maritime village of Fuzeta, in Algarve (Portugal). Founded by fishermen, this village stands out by its regular urbanism and a housing typology relatively uniform with unknown origins, different from the rest of Algarve’s urban settlements.

Dit artikel karakteriseert, analyseert en vergelijkt de soorten bakstenen gewelfde huizen in Fuzeta. Het uitgevoerde onderzoek geeft aan dat deze anonieme constructies werden gevoed door een erudiete bron, de kerk van Nossa Senhora do Carmo, die tegelijkertijd werd gebouwd en de bouwers de kennis deelden, waardoor de grenzen tussen volkstaal en erudiet vervaagden.
